Teaching the science of swimming since 2003!

Shelley's love of swimming started at three years old, when she began swim lessons in upstate New York. She swam competitively in middle and high school and was a lifeguard through college. Shelley, who is a mother of two young girls, is comfortable teaching children of all ages.

Shelley graduated with a degree in political science and economics from Simmons College in Boston, MA. After earning her degree, she worked for United Ways of New England, The Avon Walk for Breast Cancer, and the Children's Center for Communication & Beverly School for the Deaf as a nonprofit fundraiser. She has experience in marketing, public relations, and communications. Shelley is also fluent in American Sign Language.  Shelley's experience as a mother of two young children makes it easy for her to connect with her students and maintain a fun yet structured class setting.  Shelley has completed over 50 hours of academic and in-water training to learn our method.  She currently teaches Kicks & Tricks, FUNdations, Beginning Stroke, and Advanced Stroke.
