PHD SWIM SCHOOL

Instructor

Samantha Johnson:

Samantha loves nothing more than spending time in the water, especially when teaching kids how to swim safely and how to love and respect the water. She has been teaching swimming lessons for over 2 years now and sees it as one of the best things that has ever happened to her. She learned to swim and dive at a young age and became a competent swimmer very quickly. Sam hails from the Blue Ridge Mountains of NC and loves spending her free time singing and playing with her rabbits.

Sam graduated with her Bachelor of Music with a concentration in Vocal Performance in 2017 from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. She made her professional operatic debut with Piedmont Opera in 2015 in the production The Magic Flute. Sam hopes to one day travel the world singing opera and to give as many kids as possible the opportunity to love the water in a safe, positive environment.  Sam has completed over 50 hours of academic and in-water training to learn our method.  She currently teaches Survival (I Can Swim!), Kicks & Tricks, Fundations, and Beginning Stroke.
